Brockton Table Scraps to Pig Farm Courtesy the “Honeywagon”

  • Todd Baxter

Lifelong Brockton resident, Timothy Minnock recalls, “They were everywhere. The city would pick them up about once a month and bring them to the city piggery. The truck used to be called the ‘honeywagon’.”

  • Can anyone point me to any more info on these things from a historical perspective? You’d think the locavore movement would be all over it. Also, I’m wondering if I can turn mine into a water garden, no luck with a google, i might need some better search terms.
