The Best of Bay 8 – Continental Cablevision

Bay 8 – Local cable from the Gateway (to Cape Cod) area of Massachusetts (Wareham, Marion, Mattapoisett, Buzzards Bay.) A VHS tape made for prospective advertisers which shows a variety of clips of Bay 8 programming and features a voiceover and live audio. Digitized for web under the supervision of Lynda Ames. Archived by Wareham Free Public Library. Preserved as part of a collective effort of the members of the facebook group “Wareham, Massachusetts: The Greatest Town on Earth.”  This is a VHS rip – therefore the quality of the footage is whatever the tape (age, etc.) and whatever standards were for the times each clip was shot. 

Robert Dowd’s (1975) History of Wareham Tour Slide Show

In 1975, Wareham local, Robert “Bob” Dowd produced and narrated a slideshow tour of his beloved town including it’s fascinating history. In 2020 it has been digitized and updated to share on the web.
